Guests should opt for the rooms with chocolate treats, a kitchen, and private bathrooms, as the interior design is beautiful and the service and food are superb.

The room was neat and airy, our beds were extremely comfy. Hotel offered a huge variety of meals for continental breakfast. Location: the property was right by beautiful botanic garden, and a nice dog friendly park. The service was very good, including an early check-in.

the hotel is situated in the centre but still far from tourists, so the place is really quite and pleasant. The tripple room we stayed in already twice is really big. Very comfortable, very nice and causy. Also there is a jacuzzi :) Breakfast is also ok - juice, milk, coffee, tea, a lot of sorts of bread, bacon, cheese, eggs, different jams etc. Also there is free wifi in every room. The personnel is very kind and is ready to help. We stayed in the hotel last year on New Year, and came here last week once again. And both times we were really satisfied. I've never been in a 2* hotel which is so amazing. Next time I'm in Amsterdam I will definately stay there again!

Lovely, quiet location next to Hortus Botanicus and park, but still easy walking into city (about 15 minutes walk from Centraal Station) and easy to get to via tram 9. Very welcoming, helpful staff. Hotel very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and easy chairs in room. Room facilities were good, with a small refridgerator and kettle with tea and coffee provided. Breakfast was basic but very good (cold buffet + boiled eggs & toaster), nicely served in a pleasant, spacious breakfast room overlooking the park. Main feature that raised this above many other small hotels in Amsterdam was the attention to safety - smoke detectors, fire doors and a good fire escape stairway (this was very reassuring, as many hotels of this size offer no means of escape from the room in case of fire).

Hotel is very close to center Amsterdam but located in quiet area near to the park and Zoopark. It's really nice "home - place" to stay in amsterdam for few days.
Check out before 11, so we have to walk before the plane.

Hotel Parklane is a 'faded grand-dame' that has seen better days: tram stop is a 2 minute walk around the corner, but it is in a quiet neighborhood with a park directly across, and about 20 minute walk from the Red Light Dsitrict. Very steep staircases; big windows opening onto a courtyard out of a clean and spacious room; adequate breakfast; nice and pleasant family-run hotel. Good indication of what 115 euros a night pays for in Amsterdam. I would stay there again.

A small relaxed hotel in a relatively quiet area but still close to the centre of Amsterdam. Our room was large and comfortable, staff very helpful and the buffet breakfast very good.

I was chosing in between of this hotel and one international chain and was absolutely happy with our choice. This one gave very nice Amsterdam atmosphere with narrow steep stairs, very cosy breakfast room and friendly staff. The area isn't as crowded as centre but enough close to the centre to walk there - we never used tram except of arrival with luggage. We had tripple room for three adults, which was surprisingly spacious for this quite narrow building. Breakfast was quite simple, but above my expectations for this price segment (boiled eggs, muesli/yoghurt, cheese, ham, jam, various breads, tee/coffee). There are some bikes to rent just in hotel.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
